A draft law on social enterprises has been prepared and will be submitted to the Government, and is expected to pass the parliamentary procedure and be adopted in the first half of next year.
The aim of the law is to create a legal, institutional and financial framework for the development of social enterprises and to help young people become active actors in society.
– The law is very important because it recognizes all vulnerable categories, especially young people under 29, single parents, people with disabilities and other vulnerable categories as participants and drivers of change in society. All these categories of citizens will have an open door to open social enterprises, said today the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy Fatmir Sabriu before the start of the social entrepreneurship forum being held in Skopje.
