RRC is starting a new Erasmus project: “ASUN ME”

RRC in partnership with 5 NGOs from Romania, Greece, Spain, Germany, Ireland is implementing the ASUN ME Project, which is funded within the framework of the ERASMUS+ program. The project has started on 01/10/2024 and will finished on 10/09/2026 year.

The project Budget  is 250.000,00 EUR.

Ašun Me is a European project designed to support Roma youth interested in political participation & facing lack of knowledge, access, & social barriers, to train, develop skills & work with Youth Workers, Policy Makers & Actors, to discuss/raise issues of challenges &solutions to Roma communities’ issues, and to participate in policy advocacy, monitoring & making processes. Additionally, it encourages them to share the ideas, problems, and needs of the Roma population at local, national, and regional levels while proposing solutions.

The project also aims to strengthen the tools, practical skills, and knowledge of youth workers in supporting young Roma adults, particularly in fostering their political participation. Ašun Me will provide young Roma adults and youth workers with the necessary tools and practical experience to collaborate effectively. This cooperation will empower young Roma adults to actively engage in and contribute to political life.

The main aim is to enhance skills & capacities of Young Roma & Youth workers supporting them to:

  • cooperate together with common methodology & reach Policy Makers
  • cultivate skills in policy making, monitoring, advocacy & political short filmmaking
  • approach Policy Makers, present the needs, challenges, perspectives for solutions in dialogue and through art [short films] & participate in policy making processes
  • improve the cooperation between Roma Youth, Youth Workers & Policy Makers

Ašun Me main activities

  • Mapping activities with the TGs specifying learning needs
  • Development of Methodology Manual for Roma Youth & Youth Workers
  • 12 National cooperation workshops for Roma Youth & Youth Workers
  • Development & piloting of 1 BL Training program for Roma Youth
  • Development & piloting of 1 Artistic Toolkit for Roma Youth
  • Digital Roundtables with Policy Makers
  • Digital Booklet with Policy Changes
  • Submission of 18 Policy Changes on NRIS
  • Online campaign
  • 6 national Info days for Stakeholders
  • 1 European Conference
